What's a Listening Room Show?
Fretmonkey Studio Listening Room is a captivating venue for (often secret) live, intimate shows (typically unplugged), creating an immersive experience that brings guests and artists closer together. It's a great way to showcase your music to an attentive audience or gather your fans together to celebrate your new music and/or CD release.
How do I book my own show in the
If you want to host your own show in the Listening Room and sell your own tickets to the show, simply book the Listening Room and pay the non-refundable $100 venue rental fee (includes 4 hours of use) by completing this booking form. The Listening Room can accomodate up to 25 guests comfortably and includes use of the in-house PA system. The Listening Room does not serve food or alcohol. You are welcome to bring snacks for your guests. All Listening Room events are BYOB.

Fretmonkey is a global community dedicated to supporting artists throughout their career. We curate the best possible live events, connecting artists to a worldwide network of music lovers and promoters and create high-quality content. Each Fretmonkey Listening Room Show is small, and typically features up to three diverse acts, with no headliner.To be considered for booking, simply complete the form here and we will get back to you!
How are artists compensated to play a Fretmonkey Listening Room Show?
Fretmonkey offers a high-quality video of your performance and the option to release it from the Fretmonkey Records (label) YouTube Channel and social media pages (Fretmonkey Records Instagram and Facebook). We will discuss these options with you prior to your performance. We will promote your upcoming show on our social media channels to ramp up attendance. You are also allowed to sell your merch at the show and keep 100% of the proceeds as well as have a tip jar.
Does it have to be music?
Absolutely not! We like to think outside the box. Performances can be spoken word poetry, comedy, or most anything performance-based.
